Learn about the other studies going on in the Whitehead lab! Members are currently conducting research on sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) and northern bottlenose whales (Hyperoodon ampullatus) in addition to the long-finned pilot whale project. 

 

The Marine Animal Response Society (MARS) is a charitable organization based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. They respond to stranded, injured, or dead marine mammals. To learn more about MARS and how you can get involved please click on the link above.

Capt Mark's Whale and Seal Cruise is the company we have been working with for the last decade during the Cape Breton Pilot Whale Project field season. If you are heading up our way during the summer and would like to watch some whales, check out their website!

The Marine Animal Response Society works out of Nova Scotia to respond to marine mammal stranding throughout the province and the rest of the maritimes. 

Orcalive is an audio and video streaming site run by Orcalab. Located off the coast of British Columbia, they record and document the northern resident orcas who come to the Johnstone Strait area to feed on salmon in the summer and fall.
